STRENGTH/POWER
WHAT CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?
Ideally take 3 classes/week. Take classes in each category for the ultimate results and most balanced results.
ALL LEVELS: Suitable for everyone! Those new to the studio, to experienced CarmelBarre folks.
LEVEL 2: Class moves at a more rapid pace. Please have a minimum of 10 CarmelBarre all-levels classes under your belt before attending this.
BARRE
ALL LEVELS: Barre is our foundational practice - we recommend every CarmelBarre student take it regularly! In this energizing, all-levels class, you’ll experience low impact precision movements inspired by ballet, coupled with familiar exercises (squats, push-ups, planks) that work your legs, thighs, glutes and arms. Using light props like hand weights and stretchy bands, this class will challenge and build your stabilizer and accessory muscles while working those core muscles in a way that delivers quick results to students at every level. Bring water, a mat and grip socks!
BARRE + CARDIO TRAMPOLINE
IT'S THE MOST FUN WORKOUT YOU'VE NEVER DONE!
Enjoy some Barre strength moves + a little bit of happy bounce on the mini-trampoline = one perfect combination!
We'll work on and off the trampolines in this class, hitting every muscle in the body with modifiable, strengthening, focused Barre moves mixed with low-impact, smile-inducing Bounce! Accompanied by motivating playlists and lots of energy, we guarantee you will be a Barre Bounce fanatic!
BENEFITS OF THE TRAMP:
- Bounce is a high-intensity, low-impact cardio workout that gets your heart pumping—without putting extra stress on your joints
- Helps you increase your stamina, endurance, and cardiovascular output
- Helps with coordination and balance
- Aids the lymphatic system - bouncing on a trampoline may help flush the fluid out of your lymphatic system, thanks to good old gravity. This, in turn, may improve circulation and your body’s natural detoxification process
All levels welcome! Bring a mat, water and a sweat towel. CLEAN indoor shoes are optional.
PILATES + WEIGHTS
Pilates + Weights is a powerful fusion of Pilates precision, heart pumping cardio, and strength training. Expect dynamic blocks that alternate between core-focused Pilates flows, energizing cardio bursts, and weight intervals designed to build strength, endurance and control. This class hits every muscle group while keeping things grounded, challenging, and fun.
STRETCH/LENGTHEN
RECOVER: GENTLE YOGA
All levels. Reap the benefits of yoga - slow it down, learn the body mechanics -- yes yoga is accessible to all! Class will begin with a meditation and warm-ups, followed by standing poses, forward bends and gentle twists.
Please bring a yoga mat, water and anything else you may want to keep you comfortable during class.
RECOVER: STRETCH*D OUT
You work hard sculpting your buns, thighs and core in Barre. Awesome Job! Now it’s time to come in and get Stretch*d Out!
Choose this class to improve your performance and decrease the chance of injury by increasing your range of motion. After warming up, we will get Stretch*d Out, releasing tension in the hips, lengthening the hamstrings and opening the shoulders and will finish with a relaxing cool down to absorb the benefits of the class.
Stay in the game! Whether you’re behind a desk or behind the wheel, running errands or running marathons, your body will benefit from the time you invest in getting Stretch*d Out.
Excellent for all ages/all levels. Please bring a mat and a towel to pad your knees if need be.
YOGA FLOW
ALL LEVELS: Slow down and breathe! Reap the benefits of yoga and stretch - counter-balancing your other workouts. Class will take you through warm-ups, standing poses, forward bends and gentle twists. Modifiable to all. Every level welcome.Please bring a yoga mat, water and anything else you may want to keep you comfortable during class.
